This Mixed Martial Arts class combines Standup Techniques and Submission Grappling which helps you to develop an effective style for MMA combat. This program is perfect for someone who enjoys watching UFC, IFL, Pride, K-1.... and would like to learn how to control their body in a self-defensive way that will kick your body into excellent shape.
Mahato Mixed Martial Arts is a combination of reality based techniques assimilated from the striking skills of Shuri-te Karate, the submission and joint locking skills of Traditional Ju-Jitsu, the evasion/footwork and throwing skills of Aki-Jitsu, combined with the spirit of Kobudo and Ken-Jitsu. My body is my weapon.
Rules of Engagement
All participants of MMMA must adhere to the strict guidelines of combative engagement. Respect and ettiquette is very important to keep injury as far away as possible. This is not a karate class, however it is a martial arts learning experience. This means that when you have an opponent in front of you, you are helping each other learn and train, not beat the fool out of each other. There will be time for free sparring, and even in that occasion, when one of you places the other in a submission, each movement must be controlled and the submitter must release upon his opponents tapping or announcement of '"BREAK". The fighter getting submitted has a job as well, making sure that he or she does not wait too long to try and fight it out, because there are some techniques that you think you can withstand, and a few seconds later something is broken or you are choked out.
